ROBOTIC ARM

aunav.CID is a remote-control robotic arm that allows IED detection, investigation and neutralisation tasks to be performed safely from inside the armoured vehicle or by remote control. Its modular nature means it can be adapted to any armoured vehicle and can be easily fitted only when necessary.

DETECTION, REACH AND STRENGTH
FOR SAFE OPERATION

  • By using the control unit, operators can separately select the arm grip, the metal detector or the GPR based on the need to perform detection or handling tasks.
  • The 7,000 Kg of grip strength and great lifting force of the arm enable removal and lifting operations with weights of between 150 Kg to 800 Kg.
  • Its two telescopic extensions allow objects to be handled at a maximum distance of up to 8.5 m and surveillance tasks to be performed at a maximum height of 9 m.

HIGH LEVEL OF CONTROL AND PRECISION

  • The touchscreen control unit, operated via an ergonomic control pad, provides the EOD operator with excellent situational awareness of their surroundings in real time, displaying images from up to four cameras simultaneously and information from its advanced detection sensors.
  • The arm and grip have various speeds for handling delicate objects and can rotate 360º on their own axis, enabling the arm to be moved into any precise position without needing to move the vehicle.
  • The use of pre-defined automatic positions enables arm deployment time to be reduced, thereby facilitating and simplifying complex or repetitive movements such as arm retraction or deployment.

CONTROL CENTRE (OCU)

  • This comprises a rugged control tablet and an ergonomic control pad for arm operation.
  • It allows up to four cameras to be selected and displayed simultaneously in real time, and the robot to be operated at a safety distance of up to 1 Km depending on the nature of the terrain.
  • It uses a 3D representation of the robot to show the position of any arm articulation to the operator in real time.
